About Me

finding solace in every line

Hello! My name is Sadie. I’ve been writing poetry consistently for about 5 years. I began writing poetry as a way to cope with my mental health. I found poetry was an outlet that allowed me to process what I was putting out with words. I’ve tried journaling but for me it didn’t create the same spark that poetry did. I write primarily when my mental health feels suffocating. I have been suffering from mental health for as long as I can remember and some days it’s simply consuming. I created this website because I know i’m not alone in the way I feel. I know others like me exist simply because I exist. I created this website as a sanctuary for anyone who can connect to the feelings I share with my poetry. At the end of the day mental health can be debilitating and hard for others to understand. I hope my words can bind to you and make you feel like someone out there gets it. Trust me, they do. Even if that person is me, you’re not alone. Yes mental health is draining and its an uphill battle but its manageable. I plan to share personal insights as to what i’m feeling when I write, and skills i’ve learned to help me in this world. Most importantly I love you. Thanks for checking my silly little page out. You are SO resilient.
